Senior Data Analyst

Resolution Processing manages the non-legal and administrative aspects of the debt resolution process. We are a fast-paced and mission-driven organization within the debt resolution industry, committed to helping individuals navigate financial hardship with integrity and results.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our growing fintech team and play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining the critical data infrastructure that drives our business decisions. This role will be instrumental in transforming raw data into actionable insights that support our mission of helping individuals achieve financial resolution while ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Data Infrastructure & Analytics

  • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive data models and dashboards that track key business metrics including client progression, settlement rates, operational efficiency, and financial performance
  • Build automated reporting systems to monitor critical KPIs such as enrollment trends, payment processing volumes, client retention rates, and resolution timeframes
  • Develop predictive models to forecast client outcomes, identify at-risk accounts, and optimize settlement strategies
  • Create and maintain data quality frameworks to ensure accuracy and consistency across all data sources

Business Intelligence & Insights

  • Partner with cross-functional teams including Operations, Client Services, Finance, Legal, and Compliance to identify data requirements and deliver analytical solutions
  • Conduct deep-dive analyses on client behavior patterns, payment trends, and operational bottlenecks to drive process improvements
  • Generate regular and ad-hoc reports for executive leadership, providing clear insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making
  • Analyze market trends and competitive intelligence to support business development initiatives

Data Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure all data handling practices comply with financial services regulations, including TCPA, FDCPA, and state-specific requirements
  • Implement data security protocols and privacy safeguards to protect sensitive client financial information
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of data sources, transformations, and analytical methodologies
  • Support audit requirements by providing detailed data lineage and validation reports

Process Optimization & Automation

  • Identify opportunities to streamline data collection, processing, and reporting workflows
  • Collaborate with IT and Operations teams to integrate new data sources and improve existing data pipelines
  • Develop self-service analytics capabilities for business users while maintaining data governance standards
  • Lead initiatives to enhance data accessibility and reduce manual reporting burdens

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or related quantitative field
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within financial services, fintech, or debt resolution industries
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining business-critical analytics solutions in fast-paced environments

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and database management systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar)
  • Expert-level skills in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker
  • Strong programming abilities in Python or R for statistical analysis and data manipulation
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS) and modern data stack tools
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline orchestration tools

Financial Services Knowledge

  • Understanding of debt resolution processes, settlement negotiations, and payment processing workflows
  • Knowledge of financial services regulations and compliance requirements
  • Experience with financial metrics, risk assessment, and portfolio analysis
  • Familiarity with credit reporting, collections processes, and consumer financial behavior

Analytical & Communication Skills

  • Exceptional analytical thinking with ability to translate complex data into clear business insights
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional analytical initiatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented approach with commitment to data accuracy and quality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in relevant quantitative field or MBA with analytical focus
  • Professional certifications in data analysis or business intelligence platforms
  • Experience with machine learning techniques and statistical modeling
  • Previous experience in debt resolution, collections, or consumer lending industries
  • Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements for financial services companies
  • Experience with real-time data processing and streaming analytics

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
