We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst, Enterprise Data & Analytics to play a critical role in backend data, enterprise system enablement, and analytics support as part of UES’s ongoing growth and operational transformation. This position will focus heavily on data architecture understanding, data migrations, controlled database updates, and SQL-driven reporting frameworks that support operational, financial, and leadership decision-making across the organization.
As part of this role, the Senior Data Analyst, Enterprise Data & Analytics will contribute to a multi-year Enterprise Application Suite implementation, including ERP & Operational applications, supporting the company’s long-term vision and future direction. You will partner with business leaders and key internal and external stakeholders to help ensure data integrity, scalable reporting, and successful system adoption.
This role serves as a backend data and analytics subject-matter expert, responsible for quickly learning complex database structures, writing advanced SQL queries, and supporting both recurring and ad-hoc data needs. The Senior Data Analyst, Enterprise Data & Analytics will also perform approved database write activities for specific functions such as data remediation, standardization, and system implementation support, following established controls and documentation standards.
This role is ideal for an experienced analyst who is comfortable operating at the intersection of data, systems, and business processes, and who can balance hands-on technical execution with broader operational and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities
-
Serve as a backend data and analytics subject-matter expert supporting enterprise systems, reporting, and operational decision-making

Support ERP & Operations system implementations, upgrades, and integrations

Analyze, validate, transform, and reconcile large datasets during data migrations, system conversions, and acquisitions

Write, optimize, and maintain advanced SQL queries, views, and scripts to support:

Ad-hoc data requests and analysis

Data validation and reconciliation

Perform approved database write activities (e.g., remediation, standardization, cleanup) in accordance with established change control and audit standards

Quickly learn and navigate complex database schemas, table relationships, and data models across enterprise systems

Develop and maintain scalable reporting and dashboard frameworks that ensure consistency, accuracy, and repeatability

Partner with business leaders to translate operational and reporting needs into sustainable data solutions

Support data governance, data quality, and standardization initiatives across systems

Troubleshoot data discrepancies, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced certification (e.g., CBAP, PMP) preferred.

6+ years of progressive experience in business analysis, strategy, or consulting.

Expert-level skills in data analysis, business modeling, and technology integration.

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience leading enterprise-wide initiatives and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications

5+ years of professional experience in data analytics, business analytics, or related analytical roles

Expert-level SQL proficiency (required), including:
-
Complex joins, subqueries, CTEs, and window functions
-
Writing and reviewing safe, auditable data update scripts
-
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and understand new database structures and data models
-
Experience supporting enterprise ERP systems, system implementations, or data migrations
-
Strong analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail and data integrity

Ability to manage multiple priorities, including both ad-hoc requests and longer-term initiatives
-
Possess ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
-
Familiarity with BI and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)

Experience working with Deltek products

Experience supporting multi-year system implementations or large-scale business transformation initiatives

Experience working in environments with formal change control, audit, or SOX considerations

Exposure to data governance, master data management, or reporting standardization efforts
Travel Requirements
-
This position requires occasional domestic overnight travel, approximately 10% to 20% of the time, to support
business objectives and client engagements. Travel may be both scheduled and on short notice, depending on
project needs. Destinations typically include job sites, field locations, or regional offices, where work may be
conducted in outdoor or operational environments. Adherence to all company safety protocols and use of PPE is
required during travel and on-site work.

Work is performed at a desk for extended periods using a computer, phone, and standard office equipment in a climate-controlled office environment.

Regular in-person communication with team members, clients, and stakeholders is required.
