Senior Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using GCP services like Dataflow, Dataproc, and Cloud Composer.
• Develop efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance-optimized data models in BigQuery.
• Implement data workflows to ingest, transform, and load structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical GCP-based data solutions.
• Ensure high performance, data integrity, and accuracy in all deliverables.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data across cloud and on-prem systems.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize GCP data pipelines for reliability and performance.
• Follow best practices for CI/CD, error handling, and logging in GCP data workflows.
• Required Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 4–5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer.

Strong expertise in:

• BigQuery – advanced SQL, partitioned/clustered tables, optimization, query tuning.
• Dataflow / Dataproc – scalable ETL/ELT, Apache Beam, Spark.
• SQL – stored procedures, error handling, performance tuning.
• Python – data frames (Pandas/PySpark), automation, integration with GCP APIs and databases.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical solutions in a clear, business-friendly way.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced environment.

Good to Have (Preferred Skills)

• Cloud Functions – Python-based automation and event-driven processing.
• API Development (FAST API / Flask) – building and consuming APIs.
• Cloud Composer (Airflow) – orchestration of complex pipelines.
• Exposure to ML/AI – regression, classification, clustering, or time-series models using GCP AI/ML stack (Vertex AI, AI Platform).
• Familiarity with Generative AI and integration with Google PaLM API / Vertex AI GenAI.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
