Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer responsible for designing, constructing, installing, testing, and maintaining highly scalable data management systems. This role requires a strong engineering background and familiarity with machine learning workflows and data preparation tailored for AI models. The ideal candidate will ensure data is accessible, reliable, and optimized for both analytics and machine learning applications.

Key Responsibilities

Pipeline Development & Maintenance: Design, build, and optimize robust ETL/ELT data pipelines to ingest, transform, and load data from diverse sources into data warehouses/lakes.

Big Data Technologies: Implement solutions using big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) to manage and process large datasets efficiently.

AI/ML Support: Collaborate closely with data scientists to prepare data for machine learning models, ensuring data quality, availability, and feature engineering support.

Database Management: Manage both relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases, ensuring data architecture is optimized for performance, scalability, and security.

Automation & Monitoring: Automate data flow processes, monitor system performance, and troubleshoot data issues across the infrastructure.

Cloud Integration: Work with cloud-based data services to deploy and manage data infrastructure effectively.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in a data engineering role.

Programming: Strong proficiency in Python and SQL is essential.

Data Technologies: Hands-on experience with big data frameworks (Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka) and ETL tools.

Databases: Experience with database systems like PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.

Cloud Platforms: Experience with data services on major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS S3/EMR, Azure Data Factory/Blob Storage, GCP BigQuery).

AI/ML Knowledge: Solid understanding of data requirements for machine learning and AI workflows; experience in preparing datasets for statistical modeling.

Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for data quality and integrity.

Communication: Strong ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts effectively.

Preferred (Good to have)

Familiarity with MLOps principles and tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

Knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).

Experience with data governance and data security best practices.
