Job Overview
As a Data Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain data infrastructure that supports analytics, reporting, and advanced data-driven decision-making. You will collaborate closely with analysts, engineers, and key stakeholders to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and scalable across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage scalable data pipelines and ETL processes for structured and unstructured data
- Develop and maintain data warehouse solutions, ensuring high performance and reliability
- Work with large datasets in cloud and on-premise environments
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and cross-functional teams to understand data needs
- Implement best practices for data quality, governance, and security
- Optimize database performance and troubleshoot complex data issues
- Integrate data from various internal and external sources, including APIs and third-party systems
- Automate workflows and improve data processing efficiency
- Maintain documentation for data workflows, architecture, schemas, and processes
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role
- Strong programming skills in SQL and at least one scripting language (Python preferred)
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools and data pipeline frameworks
- Proficiency in working with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and big data technologies
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work with complex datasets
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams
Preferred Skills
- Experience with tools such as Airflow, dbt, Kafka, Snowflake, or Redshift
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps workflows
- Familiarity with machine learning pipelines or data science workflows
- Experience working with real-time data processing
