Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team in an on-site role. This position is ideal for a technically strong professional who excels at building scalable data systems, optimizing data pipelines, and ensuring data quality and performance across the organization.

You will play a critical role in shaping our data infrastructure and supporting data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable data pipelines
• Developing and managing data warehouses, data lakes, and ETL/ELT workflows
• Ensuring data quality, integrity, availability, and security
• Optimizing data performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
• Collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams
• Supporting analytics, reporting, and machine learning initiatives
• Implementing best practices for data modeling, governance, and documentation
• Monitoring data workflows and troubleshooting performance issues
• Managing data integrations from multiple internal and external sources
• Contributing to data architecture decisions and long-term strategy
• Mentoring junior data engineers and providing technical guidance

Required Skills & Experience

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• Proven experience as a Senior Data Engineer or in a similar role
• Strong proficiency in SQL and advanced data modeling techniques
• Hands-on experience with data warehouses and big data technologies
• Experience designing and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Solid understanding of data architecture, performance tuning, and scalability
• Experience working with large, complex datasets in production environments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with tools such as Airflow, dbt, Spark, Kafka, Snowflake, or Databricks
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance standards
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for data workflows
• Familiarity with BI tools or machine learning pipelines
