We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team. In this role, you will be a key architect and engineer of our data platform, supporting critical business operations. You will balance maintaining robust legacy pipelines in Microsoft SQL Server and Informatica while aggressively driving our modern data strategy using Snowflake and dbt Cloud. The ideal candidate is an expert in both ETL and ELT patterns and is eager to push the boundaries of Snowflake’s ecosystem—including Streamlit apps and Cortex AI—to deliver actionable insights across the organization.

Job Responsibilities:

Include but are not limited to

• Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) to ingest data from diverse sources into our Snowflake Data Cloud.
• Modernization: Migrate legacy Informatica and SQL Server workflows into dbt Cloud and Snowflake-native architectures.
• Snowflake Mastery: Develop and optimize Snowflake objects, including Stored Procedures, Tasks, and Streams .
• Advanced Analytics Support: Build Streamlit apps and leverage Snowflake Cortex AI to enable self-service analytics and machine learning capabilities for business stakeholders.
• Automation & Orchestration: Manage complex job scheduling using Automic and ensure high system availability and performance.
• Collaboration: Partner with Data Scientists and Business Analysts to transform raw data into curated datasets that drive operational efficiency in our oil and gas assets.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years in Data Engineering, with a strong background in the Oil & Gas industry preferred.
• Languages: Expert-level proficiency in SQL and Python .
• Snowflake: Proven experience with the Snowflake Data Cloud, specifically utilizing Notebooks, Stored Procedures, and Tasks .
• Tools: Hands-on experience with Snowflake , dbt Cloud , Informatica , and Microsoft SQL Server .
• Patterns: Deep understanding of both traditional ETL and modern ELT design patterns.
• Orchestration: Experience with enterprise schedulers like Automic .

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building Streamlit apps for business users.
• Familiarity with Snowflake Cortex AI for LLM and ML integration.
• Exposure to Snowflake Openflow .
• Experience with Apache NiFi for real-time data ingestion.
