About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to enhance and expand the company’s data
engineering capabilities. In this role, you will design and implement scalable data
pipelines to process, analyse, and extract meaningful insights from Product’s
identity platform. You will work closely with our development, analytics, and
machine learning teams to ensure efficient data flows, optimize performance, and
support data-driven decision-making. Strong programming skills, expertise in data
modelling, and a problem-solving mindset are essential to succeed in this role.

As a Data Engineer, you will:
Design and implement metrics to monitor the performance of machine learning models in a production environment.
Identify the data needed for a business problem and implement logging required to ensure the availability of data.
Build and maintain data streaming system to monitor the performance of edge devices.
Write ETL scripts to enhance, standardize, and optimize data for analysis.
Design databases to meet the analysis requirements considering the integration of data from different sources.
Maintain data integrity by designing and improving automated tasks for processing and validating large amounts of data efficiently.
Work closely with Product’s machine learning and software engineers to understand data needs, representing key data insights visually in a meaningful way.
Communicate important information and insights to the data team and software engineers.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or related fields and +5 years of professional experience as a data engineer or equivalent.
Data ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) design, implementation, and maintenance on a large scale.
Expert proficiency in Python and essential development tools such Git, Jira, and Docker.
Strong experience in large data sources including SQL, NoSQL databases, data warehouses, and data lakes.
Expert proficiency in writing SQL statements.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills in order to explain your work to people who don’t understand the mechanics behind data analysis.
Experience in database interrogation and analysis tools, such as Grafana.
Comfortable working with AWS services including Lambda, CloudWatch, and Timestream.
Teamworking skills and a collaborative approach to sharing ideas and finding solutions.

Nice to have: Interest in cyber-security or biometrics.
