Senior Data Engineer – Riyadh

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of advanced data engineering and integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in multicloud environments, large-scale data workflows, and modern data architecture practices.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the creation and execution of a forward-thinking data engineering and integration strategy aligned with organizational goals.
• Develop and maintain advanced, scalable data engineering frameworks and pipelines.
• Integrate diverse data sources to ensure high levels of data quality, availability, and accessibility.
• Build sophisticated data models, transformation processes, and storage mechanisms to support analytics across multiple departments.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to understand data needs, prioritize initiatives, and deliver actionable insights.
• Establish and enforce data engineering best practices, standards, and governance procedures.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that enhance data integration and architecture.
• Ensure data quality, data governance, and compliance with policies such as PDPL and GDPR.
• Solve complex technical challenges with agility and efficiency in fast-paced environments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field.
• 8+ years of solid experience in data engineering, preferably in multicloud architectures.
• Deep expertise in data architecture, data modeling, ETL processes, data warehousing, and real-time processing.
• Hands-on experience with leading technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, SQL/NoSQL databases, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Alibaba Cloud).
• Experience with data orchestration tools and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and data security protocols.
• Ability to adapt quickly, solve complex problems, and deliver under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
