Responsibilities

  • Applies a broad range of techniques and theories from statistics, machine learning, and business intelligence to deliver actionable business insights based on large-scale data.
  • Consolidates and analyzes structured and unstructured data sources to generate insights and solutions for actionable business insights.
  • Executes preliminary data exploration, data preparation steps and variable/algorithm selection as well as model development/validation and scoring.
  • Works under limited supervision with internal and external teams to understand requirements and develop proposals.
  • Experiment to prove workability for suggested solution by building steel frame, POCs, prototypes and MVPs.
  • Reiterate to seek feedback, implement with agility to deliver incrementally with speed while responding swiftly to requested changes.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to other team members whenever applicable, while working in self-disciplined and self-organized environment. Other Duties:

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant working experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
  • Solid knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (Classification, Regression, Clustering, Similarity Matching, Profiling, Link Prediction, etc.) and experience with using machine learning algorithms (k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, Neural Networks, etc.) to solve real-world business problems.
  • Solid applied statistical skills, including knowledge of statistical tests, distributions, regression, maximum likelihood estimators, etc.
  • Experience with a statistical programming language like R or Python.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with using data visualization tools like ggplot, d3.js, Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Experience with software development agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with AWS RDS, Redshift and S3.
