Role Overview

We’re seeking a Data Scientist with strong expertise in Machine Learning and AI to drive intelligence across Avua’s platform. You’ll work on model development, NLP-driven insights, and recruitment-focused data analytics to help build the future of AI-enabled hiring.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models, particularly NLP models for text analysis and candidate ranking.
• Build and optimize ETL pipelines for structured and unstructured recruitment data.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to integrate models into Avua’s platform.
• Conduct statistical analysis, A/B testing, and evaluate recruitment algorithms for accuracy and fairness.
• Utilize large language models (LLMs) and recommendation systems to enhance candidate matching and hiring intelligence.
• Design experiments to validate new data-driven features and improve decision systems.
• Create dashboards and visualizations for performance tracking and reporting.

Core ExpertiseMachine Learning & AI Expertise

• Strong understanding of supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning.
• Experience in building and deploying AI/ML models, especially NLP for text data.
• Familiarity with large language models (LLMs) and recommendation systems.

Data Engineering & Pipeline Development

• Ability to design, maintain, and optimize ETL pipelines.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and scalable data architectures.

Statistical Analysis & Experimental Design

• Strong foundation in statistics, probability, and A/B testing.
• Capability to analyze and improve model performance and recruitment algorithms.

Product & Business Acumen

• Understanding of HR Tech and recruitment workflows (ATS, candidate scoring, interview automation) – preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to translate business challenges into technical solutions balancing model accuracy and fairness.

Programming & Technical Toolset

• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Hugging Face).
• Experience with data visualization tools – Tableau, Power BI, or Python libraries like matplotlib/seaborn.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Data Science or Machine Learning, preferably in SaaS or HRTech domains.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹1,600,000.00 per year
