The Role

We are hiring a Senior Data Scientist to own and advance TrueLearn’s predictive systems and applied AI initiatives. This role reports directly to our VP of Data Science.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role focused on:

• Evolving our core exam readiness prediction models. Own and improve our exam readiness models using longitudinal learner data, behavioral signals, and verified outcomes. Maintain and expand models.
• Implementing LLM-powered systems across product and internal workflows. Lead implementation of LLM-powered capabilities across
• Design safe, controlled systems with strong evaluation frameworks and clear boundaries around data use.
• Translating our unique data into actionable, production-grade intelligence. Develop new signals from TrueLearn’s longitudinal data and strengthen the connection between data, models, and product outcomes.
• AI Product & Roadmap Execution Deliver key initiatives including AI-driven roadmap features and experimentation infrastructure. Translate AI capabilities into scalable product features. Partner with Product Management, Engineering and Editorial to innovate using AI.
• Production ML & Data Systems. Own the lifecycle of models from development to deployment and monitoring. Partner with engineering to build reliable pipelines, evaluation systems, and feedback loops.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years in data science, machine learning, or applied AI. PhD in a related field preferred.
• Experience owning production ML systems, not just experimentation
• Strong skills in Python, modeling, and evaluation (AUC, calibration, etc.)
• Experience with behavioral, longitudinal, or time-series data
• Experience implementing LLM or generative AI systems in production
• Ability to translate models into real product value
• Experience using LLM’s for operational efficiency

Nice to have: Experience in education, healthcare, or other high-stakes domains; explain ability methods ; NLP, embeddings, or content systems.

Compensation Range: $180,000 - $195,000 annually.

Pay: $180,000.00 - $195,000.00 per year
