Senior Data Scientist - Data Science and Analytics

What are we looking for?

HDFC Life is seeking a proactive and operations-focused AI Engineer to support and manage enterprise AI platforms and services. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of in-house Generative AI platform services (Galaxy AI), coordinating incidents, supporting user onboarding, and maintaining operational excellence across AI applications and infrastructure.

This role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, stakeholder management capabilities, operational discipline, and a passion for delivering a seamless experience for business and technology users leveraging AI platforms.

3. Operational Hygiene & Governance

• Maintain operational dashboards, runbooks, support documentation, and knowledge repositories.

• Monitor platform usage, user activity, and operational trends to identify improvement opportunities.

• Drive periodic audits, access reviews, housekeeping activities, and operational health assessments.

Work Experience

• 3–6 years of experience in AI/ML platforms, application support, production operations, or technology service management.

• Strong understanding of AI/GenAI platforms, APIs, enterprise applications, and cloud-based services.

• Experience monitoring production systems, application health, service availability, and operational KPIs.

• Knowledge of incident management, problem management, change management, and IT service management processes.

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Kibana, CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk, or equivalent.

• Experience working with Linux environments, APIs, logs, and basic scripting using Python, Shell, or PowerShell.

• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills with the ability to coordinate resolution across multiple teams.

• Experience supporting user onboarding, access provisioning, and stakeholder engagement.

• Good understanding of operational governance, SLA management, and platform support best practices.

• Excellent communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively with business users, vendors, infrastructure teams, and development teams.

Essential Qualification

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field.

Preferred Skills

Experience in AI/ML platforms, application support, production operations, or technology service management.
