Senior Data Scientist- Fractional

This is a fractional position that can be done in conjunction with any existing job (keep your day job!).

Role Description:

Design, develop, and deploy AI & machine learning models and statistical analyses to solve complex business problems
Build predictive models, recommendation systems, and optimization algorithms that drive key business metrics
Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover insights and identify patterns in large, complex datasets
Develop and maintain data pipelines and workflows to support production model deployment

Required Qualifications

Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
5+ years of experience in a data science or machine learning role based in US
Must have experience performing data science development with integrated AI coding assistant (ClaudeCode or Codex or something similar) to accelerate your productivity
Strong programming skills in Python and experience in libraries such as scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
Demonstrated expertise in machine learning techniques including regression, classification, clustering, deep learning, and natural language processing
Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large-scale databases and data warehouses
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and distributed computing frameworks
Strong understanding of statistical methods, experimental design, and causal inference
Proven track record of delivering data science projects from conception to production

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with MLOps practices and model deployment frameworks
Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or similar
Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows
Experience with big data technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, Spark, or Hadoop
Publications or contributions to open-source data science projects
