Job Description: Senior Design and Drafting Engineer / Designer

Employment Type: Full-time (Online / Remote)

Work Schedule:

• Six (6) working days per week, Monday to Saturday
• Ten (10) working hours per day
• Continuous online availability during working hours

Job Summary

The Senior Design and Drafting Engineer / Designer is fully responsible for the end-to-end delivery of design and

drafting services, from initial concept development through preparation of complete technical drawings and

obtaining final approvals from relevant authorities. The role requires proven experience with Dubai and UAE

regulatory authorities and the ability to independently manage submissions, revisions, and approval processes

until final approval is secured.

Scope of Work and Responsibilities

Design and Drafting Responsibilities

• Prepare complete design packages from concept to fully detailed construction drawings
• Develop accurate CAD drawings including plans, sections, elevations, and details
• Ensure compliance with Dubai regulations, authority requirements, and applicable codes
• Coordinate revisions based on client, consultant, and authority comments

Authority Submissions and Approvals

The candidate shall be responsible for preparing, submitting, and obtaining approvals from the following

authorities:

• Dubai Municipality (DM)
• Dubai Development Authority (DDA)
• Trakhees / Tarakheeh
• JAFZA (Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority)
• Dubai World
• Manage authority submissions, resubmissions, and technical clarifications
• Track approval status and ensure timely closure of authority comments
• Coordinate directly with authority representatives when required

Communication and Documentation

• Respond promptly to daily online communications during working hours
• Maintain organized records of submissions, revisions, and approvals
• Ensure all final drawings reflect the latest authority-approved revisions

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Proven experience in design and drafting projects within Dubai and UAE
• Demonstrated success in obtaining approvals from listed authorities
• Strong knowledge of authority regulations and approval workflows
• Advanced proficiency in CAD and design software

Accountability

The role carries full accountability for delivering complete, coordinated, and authority-approved design and

drafting packages. Deliverables shall be considered complete only upon receipt of final approvals from all relevant authorities.
