Senior Design Manager/ AD - Structural High Rise Project

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the structural engineering team for high-rise construction projects from conception to completion.
  • Oversee the structural design process, ensuring compliance with local and international building codes and regulations.
  • Review and approve detailed structural drawings, plans, and specifications.
  • Manage and coordinate with architects, contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Monitor and ensure the structural integrity of all phases of the construction process, identifying and addressing potential risks or issues.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress and quality, resolving any on-site issues related to structural elements.
  • Ensure that safety and environmental regulations are strictly adhered to during construction.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and team members.
  • Review and manage the procurement process for structural materials and equipment.
  • Report on project status, including timelines, costs, and risks to senior management.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Engineering License (P.Eng., PE, or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in structural engineering, with at least 15 years of experience in managing high-rise construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of structural design, materials, construction methods, and building codes.
  • Proven experience in managing complex high-rise or large-scale projects.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in structural design software (e.g., SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD Pro) and Microsoft Office Suite.
