Senior Design SpecialistĀ  Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • ProficiencyĀ inĀ computerĀ aidedĀ designĀ (CAD)Ā withĀ demonstratedĀ experienceĀ withĀ computer aided

  • UseĀ draftingĀ applicationsĀ toĀ originateĀ andĀ produceĀ drawingsĀ withĀ minimumĀ supervision

  • 3DĀ modelingĀ experienceĀ requiredĀ (S3DĀ preferred)

  • Read,Ā interpretĀ andĀ generateĀ designĀ drawingsĀ withĀ minimalĀ inputĀ fromĀ aĀ memberĀ ofĀ the engineering staff.

  • Must have the ability to walk down field systems with minimal guidance, interpret field direction,Ā generateĀ minorĀ designĀ details,Ā createĀ newĀ drawings,Ā modifyĀ existingĀ drawings,Ā and direct junior drafters

BasicĀ JobĀ Requirements

  • MustĀ beĀ aĀ U.S.Ā Citizen

  • MustĀ haveĀ aĀ minimumĀ ofĀ anĀ associateĀ degreeĀ inĀ aĀ fieldĀ relatedĀ toĀ theĀ positionĀ andĀ aĀ minimum of 10 years progressive experience in drafting related to Engineering and Construction (nuclear preferred)

  • MustĀ haveĀ aĀ workingĀ knowledgeĀ ofĀ FederalĀ (includingĀ DepartmentĀ ofĀ EnergyĀ Orders),Ā State, and Local codes and standards applicable to specialized (nuclear or other areas) engineering design

  • Background and experience must include drafting/designer experience in engineering fields, such as electrical, mechanical, structural, communications, architectural, fire protection or civil
