SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER
ROCHA Design Studio is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our growing team. This role will work directly under the Creative Director and collaborate closely with our project managers, consultants, and design team to bring thoughtful, tailored interiors to life.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, self-driven, and passionate about creating meaningful, timeless design. This position plays a key part in both creative development and project execution.
Design Leadership & FF&E Development
- Work under the Creative Director to develop and manage custom FF&E designs for furnishings, lighting, and specialty elements.
- Lead project design teams in concept development, space planning, and FF&E direction.
- Review and redline drawing sets across all phases of the design process.
- Provide preliminary FF&E budgets and ensure all selections align with final budgets, timelines, and project goals.
- Review FF&E shop drawings for accuracy, craftsmanship, and alignment with the design vision.
Client & Team Collaboration
- Lead client presentations and communicate design concepts clearly and professionally.
- Work proactively with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely project progress.
- Attend project meetings and site visits independently or alongside the Principal(s).
- Support PMs with on-site installations and styling as needed.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional interior design experience (luxury residential and/or hospitality preferred)
- Strong background in FF&E design, detailing, and documentation
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and relevant design software
- Excellent communication, organization, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (preferred)
Required Software Skills
- AutoCAD
- SketchUp
- Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Microsoft Office or Apple equivalents (Excel/Numbers, Word/Pages, PowerPoint/Keynote)
- Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive)
- Experience with 3D visualization software is a plus
- Familiarity with HouzzPro is a bonus
