Senior Interior Designer – Residential (Design to Execution)

About the Role -

We are seeking an experienced Senior Interior Designer who can independently manage residential projects from concept design through final execution and handover. This role requires strong design ability, technical expertise, site execution understanding, client communication skills, and leadership capability to drive smooth delivery of premium residential interiors. The ideal candidate brings minimum 2+ years of residential project experience, deep technical knowledge, and preferably a valid UAE / Dubai driving licence.

Key Responsibilities -

1. Client Interaction & Briefing

• Meet clients, understand requirements, lifestyle preferences, budget, and timelines
• Conduct site visits, surveys, and briefing meetings
• Present design concepts, mood boards, 3D visuals, and material selections confidently
• Manage design approvals and client expectations throughout the project

2. Design Development -

• Lead full design process including:
• Space planning & layout development
• Concept design & mood boards
• Color schemes, finishes & material selection
• Furniture layout and joinery concepts
• Lighting design recommendations
• Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings, BOQs, specifications & presentations
• Coordinate 3Ds with rendering team ensuring realism & accuracy
• Ensure designs are functional, aesthetic, and aligned with budget

3. Technical & Documentation

• Produce complete technical packages including:
• Detailed working drawings
• Joinery shop drawings
• Reflected ceiling plans
• Electrical & lighting layouts
• Flooring, wall finishes & bathroom detailing
• Review and approve shop drawings, mock-ups, samples, and material submittals
• Ensure compliance with authority guidelines, safety standards & best practices.

4. Execution & Site Coordination

• Act as key design representative during execution
• Regular coordination with:
• Project Engineers
• Site Supervisors
• Contractors & Vendors
• Joinery & Fit-out Teams
• Conduct site inspections ensuring design accuracy & quality
• Resolve site design challenges with practical solutions
• Oversee installation of finishes, joinery, furniture & final styling
• Ensure project delivery within timeline and quality benchmarks

5. Vendor & Procurement Coordination

• Work closely with procurement team for:
• Material sourcing
• Furniture selection
• Lighting, sanitary & finishes approvals
• Evaluate vendor quality and support negotiations if required

6. Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Guide junior designers and draftsmen
• Ensure design consistency & brand quality standards
• Maintain strong collaboration within design, execution & client servicing teams

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years strong residential interior design experience
• Degree / Diploma in Interior Design / Architecture or related field
• Proven ability to manage projects from concept to completion
• Strong technical knowledge in residential interiors
• Proficiency in:
• AutoCAD
• 3Ds Max / SketchUp
• V-Ray / Lumion
• Photoshop / Illustrator
• MS Office
• Knowledge of site execution, materials, joinery, and construction detailing
• Strong communication & client handling skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Preferably holding a valid UAE / Dubai driving licence.
