Workplace Resource, creating experiences by design, is seeking an experienced Senior Designer to join their team!- Collaborating with the sales team to define client design requirements and project goals.
- Developing complete design solutions, including space plans, finish palettes, furniture specifications, and installation drawings.
- Ensuring all design deliverables meet code compliance and quality standards.
- Performing field measurements, product inventories, and research for ancillary products.
- Creating visual presentations and lead client design sessions to secure approvals.
- Managing multiple projects (workload of $5M-$8M in projects) and priorities, consistently meeting deadlines and financial goals.
- Providing exceptional client service by anticipating needs and offering creative, business-focused solutions.
- Applying deep knowledge of Herman Miller/Knoll systems and ancillary products to deliver innovative designs.
- Coordinating with vendors for product information, pricing, and custom requirements.
- Reviewing and revising design documentation to reflect client and project changes.
- Mentoring team members and contribute to continuous improvement in design processes.
- Communicating design concepts effectively to clients, A+D partners, and internal teams, positioning yourself as a trusted consultant.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 8 years of dealer design experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and CET; strong working knowledge of CAP.
- Solid understanding of interior design theory and ability to create functional, innovative solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Herman Miller and Knoll systems and seating.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with a consultative approach to clients and partners.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality in all deliverables.
The Preferred Candidate has:- Experience mentoring team members and contributing to process improvements.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Smartsheet, Outlook, and IQ.
- Broad knowledge of ancillary manufacturers and fabric vendors.
- Ability to lead live design sessions confidently and creatively.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale projects ($5M–$8M) and balancing design and financial goals.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to anticipate and resolve challenges proactively.
- Expected annual compensation range of $70,000-$85,000 based on experience.
