Senior Designer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design & Layout:

• Create detailed kitchen layouts, 2D drawings, and 3D models using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent software.

• Design customized stainless steel kitchen equipment and workstations for hotels, restaurants, and commercial facilities.

• Ensure designs are ergonomic, compliant with safety regulations, and meet client requirements.

2. Production Coordination:

• Collaborate with production and fabrication teams to ensure designs are feasible and optimized for manufacturing.

• Review prototypes, suggest improvements, and resolve technical issues during production.

• Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and production drawings for manufacturing.

3. Client Interaction:

• Understand client requirements, propose solutions, and present designs professionally.

• Provide technical guidance to clients on equipment use, maintenance, and layout efficiency.

4. Quality & Compliance:

• Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards, hygiene norms, and safety regulations.

• Conduct design audits and troubleshoot issues post-installation.

5. Project Management Support:

• Work with project managers to track timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

• Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and client handover.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, SketchUp, or Revit.

• Deep knowledge of commercial kitchen workflows, equipment, and ergonomics.

• Ability to interpret client requirements into functional designs.

• Good communication and presentation skills.

• Knowledge of stainless steel fabrication, welding, and material properties.

• Understanding of budgeting, cost estimation, and production constraints.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field.

• 5–10 years of experience in commercial kitchen design, production, or manufacturing.
