Senior Designer

Carefree Design Center is looking for a seasoned Luxury Senior Closet Designer to join our expanding team and oversee high-end projects from initial concept through final installation. This position is perfect for a designer who has a strong grasp of luxury interiors, and is eager to contribute to a company that’s transforming the custom storage experience.

Responsibilities

• Design custom luxury closets and storage systems
• Conduct in-home consultations with high-end builders, interior designers and clients
• Actively seek out new business through networking, referrals, and self-generated leads
• Create detailed layouts and design presentations
• Specify materials, finishes, hardware, and lighting
• Collaborate with customers, our in-house manufacturing and installation teams
• Guide clients through the design and selection process
• Maintain exceptional customer experience from consultation to completion
• Participate in meetings and training sessions
• Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets by pursuing referrals and repeat business

Ideal Candidate

• 3+ years’ experience designing custom closets or luxury cabinetry
• The ability to be creative, yet meticulously detail-oriented with a sense of craftsmanship.
• Experience working with high-end clients
• Ability to confidently lead design consultations
• Strong attention to detail and organization
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required.
• Experience working with laptops with the ability to learn new design software/contract writing/policies and procedures.

Preferred experience with:

• Closet design software (Cabinet Vision)
• Luxury cabinetry or millwork design experience

Full-time position based in Sarasota, Florida.
