Role Summary
This is a mid- to upper-level design role for a highly skilled architectural designer with strong 3D modelling, visualisation capability and growing leadership potential. The Designer / Senior Designer will work closely with senior staff to translate early design direction into clear architectural concepts, test-fits, massing studies, character studies and presentation material for residential, hospitality, mixed-use and master planning projects.
Key Responsibilities
•
Develop concept design options, massing studies, façade direction, spatial layouts and architectural character studies.
•
Translate sketches, verbal direction, references and project briefs into clear 3D models, diagrams, drawings and visual material.
•
Prepare pre-concept and concept design packs, including plans, elevations, sections, diagrams, precedent studies and presentation layouts.
•
Support test-fit studies, area planning, unit / key count logic, efficiency testing and design options aligned with commercial parameters.
•
Produce refined visual material, mood imagery and design narratives that communicate proportion, atmosphere, materiality and intent.
•
Coordinate with senior team members and consultants to develop design ideas without losing the original direction.
•
Contribute to internal reviews by identifying design issues, alternative approaches and opportunities to improve clarity or quality.
•
Support junior designers where required and help maintain studio standards for files, models, presentation material and visual output. Required Experience and Capability
•
5–10 years of architectural design experience, ideally across residential, hospitality, mixed-use or master planning projects.
•
Strong design eye, with good judgement around proportion, scale, context, massing, façade rhythm, materiality and atmosphere.
•
Advanced 3D modelling and presentation capability; Rhino, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Enscape / Lumion and AutoCAD or Revit are preferred.
•
Ability to move between fast sketch studies, analytical diagrams and polished presentation material.
•
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, leadership-facing studio where early design decisions carry commercial and strategic weight.
•
Clear written and spoken English, with the ability to explain design ideas simply and visually.
