Responsibilities
- Oversee design development on multiple projects simultaneously, from concept through construction administration
- Produce and oversee high-quality 3D models, renderings, and visualizations using SketchUp, Revit, and Enscape
- Develop detailed design packages including space plans, elevations, material palettes, and finish schedules
- Mentor and guide both junior and intermediate designers on technical workflows and design standards
- Contribute to our firm’s culture: participate in design reviews, lunch-and-learns, studio initiatives and educational presentations
- Stay current on materials, vendors, and emerging tools in the industry.
Experience & Education
- 10+ years of experience in interior design, with a portfolio demonstrating design thinking, project application and technical skill.
- Primary experience in corporate interiors strongly preferred; background in residential, hospitality, or retail is a plus.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or Architecture - NCIDQ certification preferred (or actively pursuing).
Technical Skills Required
- Advanced proficiency in SketchUp for 3D modeling and Enscape for real-time rendering and client presentations.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCad for documentation and BIM coordination and the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
- Ability to render at various construction phases or zoning options as necessary to help secure city permits and public approvals.
Design Skills Required
- A sophisticated design sensibility with an eye for detail, proportion, and knowledge of materials and finishes.
- Ability to coordinate design intent within multiple deadlines and budgets.
- A demonstrated ability to guide and impart knowledge to others who also partake in shared projects.
- Comfort with presenting concepts to clients is an added bonus.
