The Company

Destira is a premier, family and woman-owned brand in girls' premium gymnastics leotards, activewear, and swimwear, with a legacy spanning over three decades. Our core mission is to empower young athletes by creating stylish, perfect-fitting apparel that instills confidence, joy, and the spirit of "watch what I can do!" We are proud to be a brand that is designed, manufactured, and celebrated in the USA (Los Angeles). We run a dual-channel business, serving both our Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) e-commerce customers and partnering with thousands of B2B gym clubs nationwide to build stronger communities through sport. We are looking for an imaginative, strategic, and experienced design leader to join marketing and bring the strategic vision to live.

The Role

We are looking for a highly conceptual and hands-on Senior Designer who will serve as the primary creative driver across all marketing channels. This pivotal role reports directly to the Head of Marketing and operates as the creative engine that translates strategic briefs into compelling, high-performing design for both our e-commerce platform and our B2B partners.

This role requires a unique balance of high-level creative conceptualization, hands-on design execution, and the ability to mentor and manage a direct report.

Key Responsibilities

I. Creative Strategy & Leadership

  • Creative Partnership: Act as the in-house creative agency lead, taking strategic campaign and creative briefs from the Head of Marketing and owning the creative process from concept generation through final design execution.
  • Team Development: Manage and mentor a Junior Graphic Designer, providing constructive feedback, guiding their professional growth, delegating tasks effectively, and ensuring consistent brand quality across all their output.
  • Concept Generation: Lead the brainstorming and development of compelling visual narratives, mood boards, and key art/visual themes that authentically reflect Destira's mission.

II. Multi-Channel Design & Execution (DTC & B2B)

  • DTC E-commerce Focus: Design and manage all visuals essential to the Direct-to-Consumer business, including:
  • Website Visuals: Designing hero banners, site graphics, seasonal updates, promotional modules, and landing page mockups using the Adobe Creative Suite and Figma (working closely with the ecommerce team for implementation).
  • Performance Marketing: Designing high-converting assets for email marketing, social media campaigns (paid & organic), and display advertising.
  • B2B Marketing: Develop tailored creative assets to support our club and wholesale business, including print flyers, club uniform lookbooks, training guides, and presentation decks.
  • Design QA: Ensure all final designs are error-free, optimized for the specific channel, and adhere to technical specifications for digital and print output.

III. Brand Stewardship & Asset Management

  • Brand Guardian: Act as the primary champion of the Destira brand guidelines, ensuring all visual communication is consistent, on-brand, and upholds our quality standards across both the DTC and B2B channels.
  • Design Systems: Contribute to the continuous evolution and formalization of Destira's visual identity.
  • Asset Organization: Manage and organize the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system for all final marketing creatives, photography, and video assets.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of professional design experience, with a significant focus on multi-channel marketing design for a direct-to-consumer (DTC) or e-commerce apparel brand.
  • Leadership: 1+ years of experience mentoring or managing a junior designer or small creative team is required.
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional design skills, strategic thinking, and successful execution of e-commerce website visuals and multi-channel campaigns.
  • Software Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in Figma for web/UI design, and the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. Motion graphics/video editing experience (After Effects/Premiere Pro) is a significant plus.
  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of digital design best practices (UX/UI principles, responsive email design, website visual layout), as well as print production processes.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions clearly and integrate feedback constructively.

Why Join Destira?

  • Elevated Impact: Lead the creative vision for a successful dual-channel business (DTC & B2B), directly shaping brand perception and driving sales.
  • Creative Leadership: Take ownership of the creative department's structure, output, and talent development by managing a direct report.
  • Made in the USA: Work with a brand committed to US manufacturing and ethical production.
  • Mission-Driven: Be a direct contributor to a mission-driven company focused on empowering girls and building their confidence through sport.
