Key responsibilities
- Lead the design process: Oversee projects from initial concept to final implementation, ensuring a user-centered approach throughout.
- Conduct research: Perform user research, usability testing, and analysis to gather insights that inform design decisions.
- Create designs: Develop wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups using design tools like Figma or Adobe XD.
- Collaborate with teams: Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to align on design solutions and ensure technical feasibility.
- Implement with code: Use knowledge of HTML and CSS to produce and implement new designs, ensuring they meet usability and brand guidelines.
- Mentor others: Guide and mentor junior designers, and advocate for user-centered design principles within the organization.
- Maintain consistency: Ensure design consistency across all platforms and contribute to and maintain design systems.
- Stay updated: Keep up with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies.
Required skills and qualifications
- Experience: Several years of professional UI/UX design experience with a strong portfolio.
- Technical skills: Proficiency in design software like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch, plus a working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and often JavaScript.
- Design skills: Expertise in user research, usability testing, prototyping, and creating design systems.
- Soft skills: Excellent communication, leadership, collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Education: A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is often required
