Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in impacting the world through digital education. The primary role of this position is to ensure a stable and secure platform by maintaining and improving the CI/CD pipeline and the servers it is hosted on.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage server environments
• Ensure all runtime dependencies are regularly updated with the latest security patches
• Implement and refine observability stack & alert systems to give the development team timely and useful information to keep the application stable
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance and reliability issues across servers and services
• Automate server management tasks where possible
• Proactively maintain and expand infrastructure as necessary
• Oversee migration from on-prem infrastructure to cloud infrastructure
• Design and implement scalable cloud solutions as client requirements change
• Evaluate and adopt new tools and technologies to improve reliability and efficiency
• Improve infrastructure security by implementing best practices
• Maintain and improve automated deployments
• Create new CI/CD jobs and update existing jobs in the CI pipeline as the requirements of the application change
• Find, propose, and implement changes to the pipeline to improve performance and reliability

Requirements (Technical)

• Proficiency in managing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or similar tools
• Strong scripting and automation skills especially in Bash and JavaScript
• Experience leading DevOps adoption in teams without prior expertise, establishing best practices and workflows
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, OCI, or Azure, as well as experience working with custom infrastructure and privately managed servers
• Experience with security best practices, including vulnerability scanning and incident response
• Strong networking knowledge, including DNS, load balancing, and firewalls

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
