Senior Director, Exchange Relationships

About the Role:

As the Senior Director, Exchange Relationships you will take ownership of all institutional

relationships with crypto exchanges globally. You’ll serve as the firm’s primary point of

contact for exchange partners, ensuring the optimal setup for trading, infrastructure, and

commercial terms. Your scope will span operational, commercial, and strategic

domains—playing a vital role in shaping our execution capabilities and competitiveness.

You will be expected to proactively engage with exchanges on product developments,

listings, connectivity, compliance, and fee structures—translating those insights into

actionable strategies for Wincent’s trading teams. In a fast-moving ecosystem where early

access and responsiveness can drive significant alpha, your ability to anticipate and

navigate changes will be a key value driver.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and manage strategic relationships with global cryptocurrency exchanges, acting as the firm’s lead interface for all communications and negotiations.
• Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration, technical resilience, and optimal latency across venues.
• Lead commercial discussions, including fee negotiations, incentive programs, and strategic partnership opportunities.
• Monitor performance across venues—analysing volumes, markouts, latency metrics, and counterparty behaviour to identify improvement areas.
• Keep track of exchange roadmaps, upcoming product launches, and organizational changes that may impact Wincent’s trading operations.
• Conduct rigorous due diligence and ongoing risk assessments on existing and prospective exchange partners.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks applicable to exchange activity; work closely with legal and finance teams on related matters.
• Represent Wincent in external forums and with key stakeholders within the exchange ecosystem.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for a commercially astute, technically conversant professional with strong

interpersonal and analytical skills. You should be comfortable operating at the intersection

of trading, technology, and strategic relationship management.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in managing institutional relationships within the crypto or broader financial ecosystem, ideally with a focus on exchanges or trading venues.
• Solid understanding of trading products, particularly derivatives, including perpetuals and options.
• Ability to interpret and discuss API specifications, connectivity setups, and trading infrastructure requirements with technical teams.
• Strong negotiation capabilities with experience managing commercial agreements and long-term partnerships.
• An analytical mindset with comfort interpreting trading and operational data to inform strategy and decision-making.
• High level of personal ownership, accountability, and professional maturity.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory environments and risk considerations in crypto markets.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Existing relationships with major crypto exchanges and a track record of driving partnership success.
• Experience in a trading, BD, or ecosystem development role at a crypto-native firm or exchange.
• Previous exposure to compliance, legal frameworks, or technical onboarding processes.
