Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Director of Data & Analytics to lead our enterprise-wide digital transformation initiatives. This role will be pivotal in assessing the current data landscape, identifying opportunities for improvement, and driving meaningful change across the organization.

This position is remote with 1–2 days in the office a week near one of our regional offices (Dallas, Houston, Nashville, Memphis, Charlotte, Indianapolis, Cleveland / Canton), with up to 10% travel required.

The ideal candidate will be both a strategic leader and hands-on architect, capable of transforming data into a strategic asset, fostering a data-driven culture, and unlocking business value through advanced analytics and AI. Success requires a proactive approach to modernizing data capabilities, challenging the status quo, and delivering innovative solutions that accelerate time-to-value and improve decision-making.

The Senior Director will also be responsible for building and leading a high-performing, customer-oriented data and analytics team focused on delivering measurable business impact and supporting growth through insight-driven strategies.


Primary Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Champion data as a key lever for value creation, time-to-value acceleration, and competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to define and track KPIs that drive performance, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Enterprise Data Architecture & Governance
  • Build and scale a modern data organization with robust governance, architecture, and tooling.
  • Establish enterprise-wide standards for data quality, integrity, master data management (MDM), and compliance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Lead cross-functional teams across IT, Finance, Sales, HR, and Marketing to deliver integrated data solutions.
  • Partner with the Vice President of Technology to align data architecture with scalable, secure technology platforms.
  • Drive alignment on data priorities, project success metrics, and delivery timelines.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Build and lead a high-performing, customer-oriented data and analytics team.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and develop talent to ensure readiness for evolving business needs.
Analytics, AI Innovation & Cost Efficiency
  • Deliver scalable BI solutions, dashboards, and predictive analytics.
  • Champion AI/ML initiatives, including LLMs and automation use cases.
  • Identify data-driven opportunities to increase operational cost efficiency.
Operational Excellence
  • Manage the full lifecycle of data projects, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Design and operationalize end-to-end data pipelines and platforms for real-time insights.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, data management, finance, or business analysis, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience in distribution and manufacturing industries, with deep knowledge of relevant metrics and KPIs.
  • 10+ years of experience managing cost-effective operating models (on-site, near-shore, off-shore).
  • Expertise in big data technologies, cloud platforms, and tools (Snowflake, Databricks, PowerBI, Tableau, AWS, Azure, Informatica, SSIS, SQL, Python).
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong track record of cross-functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and grow high-performing teams.
  • Experience in asset distribution or MSP environments is preferred
  • Familiarity with service delivery metrics, inventory optimization, and customer lifecycle analytics.
