Senior Director of Manufacturing (dairy)

One of the global leaders within the dairy industry is currently looking for a Senior Director of Manufacturing to join their growing team. This business has gone from strength to strength in recent years, there has been a focus on large scale capital investment along with a number of high profile mergers and acquisitions.

This is a brand new role that has been created out of growth as the business looks to continue their impressive growth within the US.

This is an onsite role, there is a generous relocation package to help fund a move.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working with the VP of Manufacturing and Plant Directors to set strategic goals and long term objectives for plants nationwide.
• Achieve the plant targets to ensure that the business is surpassing the customer needs and industry standards for safety, cost, speed, quality and product availability.
• Oversee a multi million dollar budget, ensuring that you don’t exceed that budget on an annual basis.
• Focus on employee retention at a plant level, working with Plant Directors and Plant HR teams to foster a positive working culture.
• Line management of Plant Directors, Associate Director of Manufacturing and EHS teams.
• Internal stakeholder management of Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain teams, ensuring these divisions are kept up to date with production process to ensure customer needs are met.
• Travel up to 50% of the time monthly.

The ideal candidate would be/have:

• Experienced in the dairy industry.
• Have a track record as a successful Plant Director.
• Good understanding of OSHA, FDA, USDA certifications.
• Experience of managing large teams with multiple layers.
