Senior Drupal Backend Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Drupal Backend Developer with strong experience in Drupal and Linux environments to join our growing engineering team. This role focuses on building scalable backend systems, developing custom Drupal functionality, and supporting high-performance, secure web applications.

You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy robust solutions while helping drive best practices in backend development, DevOps, and AI-powered innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain custom Drupal modules, themes, and backend functionality
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services
• Manage and optimize Linux-based server environments
• Collaborate with DevOps to support CI/CD pipelines and deployments
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance, security, and scalability issues
• Perform Drupal upgrades, migrations, and patching
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong expertise in Drupal (9/10/11)
• Proficiency in PHP and object-oriented programming
• Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix systems administration
• Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL databases
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Proficiency in AI/ML technologies, including experience integrating AI-driven features, working with APIs (e.g., OpenAI or similar), and leveraging automation to enhance application functionality

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DevOps tools (Docker, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of Drupal configuration management (Drush, Composer)
• Experience with caching tools (Redis, Varnish)
• Exposure to headless Drupal architectures
• Understanding of web accessibility and security best practices
