Senior E-Commerce Engineer (Shopify / Shopware Specialist) - 3+ experience

About the Role

Avoria International is expanding its eCommerce operations and looking for an experienced Shopify or Shopware professional someone who knows how to build, scale, and optimize complex stores and system integrations.
You will take the technical lead for our international eCommerce platforms, connecting Shopify / Shopware with internal CRMs, automation tools, and performance dashboards.

This position is designed for developers who have already delivered high-volume online stores, advanced customizations, and API-based integrations not for beginners.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain Shopify and/or Shopware 5/6 stores (frontend and backend)
• Create custom themes, plugins, and extensions for advanced functionality
• Integrate REST / GraphQL APIs with CRM, ERP, and automation systems (HubSpot, n8n, Zapier, Klaviyo, etc.)
• Optimize performance, UX, SEO, and conversion flow across all storefronts
• Build and maintain automation workflows between platforms (inventory, CRM, sales data, reporting)
• Oversee deployments, versioning, and CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with IT

Your Profile

• 3+ years of experience in Shopify and/or Shopware development
• Proven success with custom builds, migrations, plugin development, and system integrations
• Expert in Liquid, PHP, Twig, JavaScript (ES6+), and React or Vue.js
• Strong understanding of Shopify Admin APIs, Storefront APIs, and Shopware 6 plugin architecture
• Hands-on experience with REST/GraphQL APIs, OAuth, and webhooks
• Database knowledge (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and basic Linux/Docker familiarity
• Bonus: experience with n8n, Zapier, or other workflow automation tools
• Analytical mindset, structured documentation, and a high standard of code quality
