Role Summary:
The Senior Editor is responsible for managing and publishing content during their shift, following the highest standards of professionalism, accuracy, quality, and appeal. This role enriches "Al Ain News" platforms and helps the organization reach all target audience segments.
Key Responsibilities:

Manages and publishes content during the shift with professionalism, accuracy, and creativity, aligning with the "comprehensive journalist" model to enhance "Al Ain News" platforms.

Oversees shift operations, including managing assignments and arranging the daily work agenda in coordination with the department head.

Publishes breaking news and other content through the publishing system, participates in external coverage, and drafts scripts for videos, interactive files, and infographics.

Prioritizing tasks based on organizational needs.

Addressing editorial directives from the newsroom.

Coordinating joint assignments with other departments.

Leads the team effectively by setting operational plans characterized by efficiency and flexibility, organizing assignments, prioritizing tasks, and directing reporters accordingly.

Prepares the daily work agenda to ensure the timely publication of content across "Al Ain News" platforms, coordinating with relevant teams and departments.

Adheres to "Al Ain News" editorial and publishing policies while ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and quality in preparing and writing content, including:

Handling and preparing content from news agencies and other sources.

Producing and publishing breaking news, reports, in-depth analyses, interviews, profiles, trends, and SEO-optimized content.

Developing engaging and unique ideas for digital content, attractive news stories, and visually appealing media.

Producing and publishing multimedia content, such as infographics and data journalism materials, using the latest techniques.

Monitors visual and multimedia content to enhance the platform’s output, including drafting scripts for videos, podcasts, and programs as required.

Publish content through the publishing system, ensuring the use of compelling headlines, concise writing, and appropriate visuals for digital journalism.

Guides team members, reporters, multimedia teams, and production staff to ensure smooth operations and high-quality output.

Makes decisive decisions regarding all content forms to deliver exclusive, high-impact digital media.

Contributes to event coverage, interviews, and activities associated with the economics section, as needed.

Resolves challenges faced by the team during the shift and provides necessary support to the direct manager.

Monitors and ensures daily updates, quality checks, and the publication of relevant content on "Al Ain News" platforms.

Utilizes modern digital media tools, search engines, and audience insights to create exceptional content and develop daily agendas.

Ensures the team consistently meets editorial goals, adheres to deadlines, and submits detailed daily production reports to the direct manager.

Assists the department head in preparing short- and medium-term content plans.

Maintains confidentiality and adheres to organizational policies in all transactions.

Role Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Media, Business, Economics, or a related field.

5-7 years of experience in a similar role.

Prior supervisory experience in media organizations.

Strong teamwork skills and the ability to build and enhance interdepartmental relationships.
