Senior Editorial Producer

Overview:

Ronan Production Group, headed by Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative

journalist Ronan Farrow, produces films and series for HBO and podcasts for Audible,

as well as supporting Farrow's news coverage and content on social media and

Substack. We are seeking a dynamic Senior Editorial Producer to join our team.

This is an editorial and writing-focused role responsible for working with Farrow to

adapt and scale his reporting across Ronan Production Group's media portfolio. The

Senior Editorial Producer will help research and draft content for Farrow’s Substack, as

well as draft scripts for short- and long-form video, television, and audio journalism

projects. This role also involves translating complex investigations into platform-native

content in close collaboration with our Social Media News Producer.

We are looking for a highly skilled journalist and storyteller who can translate

high-impact, deeply vetted reporting into compelling multi-platform content. The ideal

candidate brings a rigorous editorial sensibility, a background in investigative or other

serious news coverage, an instinct for narrative, and the ability to channel Farrow's

distinctive voice. You will work directly with Farrow to remove bottlenecks in social

media, audio, and video drafting processes, alongside our social media producer and

broader team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide high-level research, drafting, and production support for Farrow’s
• Substack, working closely with him to produce regular editorial content that reflects his reporting standards and voice.
• Draft and adapt scripts for short-form and long-form video, television, and audio journalism projects.
• Translate complex investigative reporting into accessible, engaging posts, threads, and platform-native copy across Farrow's social channels.
• Work closely with the Social Media News Producer to align editorial content with platform strategy and production timelines.
• Ensure absolute consistency of voice, tone, and journalistic standards across all written output, including participating in fact-checking and legal review processes.
• Collaborate with company principals, editors, and administrators on content across the portfolio.
• Stay current on news developments and emerging stories relevant to Farrow's beat.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Preferred background in rigorous journalism or investigative reporting, with demonstrated experience producing high-quality editorial or scripted content.
• 3+ years of experience writing and producing for digital, audio, or broadcast journalism strongly preferred.
• Exceptional writing ability across formats (editorial, narrative, scripted, and social) with a strong, adaptable voice.
• Ability to capture and maintain a specific editorial voice and style with fidelity and consistency.
• High-level research, reporting, and fact-checking skills; extreme comfort working with highly sensitive, complex, and legally scrutinized subject matter.
• Excellent editorial judgment, particularly during breaking news and culturally sensitive events.
• Superior verbal, written, copy editing, and proofreading skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Highly collaborative; comfortable working as part of a small, fast-moving creative team.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
• New York-based preferred, or able to work New York hours; position is remote full-time with occasional in-person requirements.
• Schedule flexibility, including availability during evenings, weekends, and holidays as news demands.
• Writing samples required.

Benefits

This is a full-time, one year contract position, with an option for renewal. This is a

remote position with occasional in-person requirements, preferably New York-based or

able to work New York hours, with a competitive benefits package. The target range for

base compensation for this role is $75,000.
