JOB PURPOSE
To prepare the complete pre-construction budgeting and tender estimating.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Prepares estimates and budgets for tenders/projects assigned
- Supervises quantity surveyors and office engineers to insure complete and accurate estimates.
- Participates in preparing materials/subcontractor adjudication reports and consequently selection of proper materials/subcontractors to ensure accurate and competitive estimate.
- Reviews all final estimate packages to assure accuracy and completeness prior to final submission.
- Provides assistance in the study and recommendations of method statements, procedures and scheduling as required.
- Provides technical assistance in negotiating contracts upon award.
- Prepares the project implementation manual (Budget file) and provides technical assistance to project team during early construction phase and as necessary
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- A degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
- At least 10 – 12 years of experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Qatar or GCC
- Knowledgeable of QCS 2014.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Good English communication skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office applications.
