Senior Electrical Technician

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Technician to join our Electrical & Instrumentation Division. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in electrical power systems, including HV/LV installations, transformers, switchgear, control systems, and electrical infrastructure. The candidate must be capable of independently executing electrical works, coordinating with authorities, when required and ensuring reliable installation, testing, and commissioning of all electrical systems.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience working in the UAE.

Key Responsibilities:

· HV/LV Power Systems: Install, terminate, test, and commission 11kV HV cables, switchgear, transformers, LV switchboards, MCCs, sub-main distribution boards, and distribution boards.

· Electrical Infrastructure: Execute installation of underground duct banks, cable trays, conduits, trunking systems, wiring devices, junction/pull boxes, and outlet boxes.

· Power & Control Systems: Install and maintain disconnect switches, isolators, control panels, power factor correction systems, harmonic filters, VFDs, ATS, and diesel generator systems.

· Lighting Systems: Install and commission interior lighting, exterior lighting, emergency lighting systems, poles, foundations, and associated accessories.

· Protection & Safety Systems: Install and maintain earthing systems, lightning protection systems, and analogue addressable fire alarm systems.

· Coordination & Testing: Coordinate with other subcontractors for service routing and perform testing, verification, and commissioning of all electrical systems.

Skills & Qualifications:

· Education: Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.

· Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in the UAE in electrical installation and maintenance, including HV/LV systems, switchgear, transformers, and building electrical infrastructure.

Experience in the oil and gas industry is an added advantage.

· Technical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of power distribution systems, electrical protection systems, lighting systems, and electrical control systems. Familiarity with BMS integration and ELV systems is advantageous.

· Installation & Troubleshooting: Ability to install, test, troubleshoot, and commission electrical systems while maintaining high safety and quality standards.

· Communication: Good communication and coordination skills to work effectively with engineers, contractors, suppliers, and other trades.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
