Tower Electrical Essex is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Electrician / Working Qualified Supervisor (QS) to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on role suited to somebody who takes pride in their work, leads by example, and can confidently oversee day-to-day site activities while remaining actively involved on the tools.

The successful candidate will work across a range of commercial, domestic, and construction projects, supporting our operational delivery while helping guide apprentices and junior operatives to maintain the standards expected across the Tower Group.

This role would suit somebody looking to take the next step in their career with increased responsibility, long-term progression, and the opportunity to support the company’s NICEIC/NIC accreditation and compliance requirements.

Tower Electrical is part of the Tower Group, alongside our sister company Tower Construction. Formed in 2022, we’ve seen steady growth and are now looking to strengthen our site delivery team with somebody who wants to grow with the business long term.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical installations, maintenance, and remedial works to a high standard.
• Oversee and support apprentices and junior operatives on site.
• Lead by example with site organisation, quality, and professionalism.
• Read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Liaise with project managers, site managers, clients, and other trades.
• Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with BS 7671 and company standards.
• Carry out inspection, testing, fault finding, and certification where required.
• Maintain accurate site records and communicate progress/issues clearly.
• Support the smooth day-to-day running of projects and assist with planning works where needed.
• Assist with maintaining compliance, quality standards, and NICEIC/NIC requirements across projects.
• Support the business in developing apprentices and maintaining high workmanship standards.

Essential Experience / Requirements

• Proven experience as a qualified electrician.
• Strong working knowledge of BS 7671 and electrical best practice.
• Experience overseeing apprentices or small teams on site.
• Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent) preferred.
• ECS Gold Card preferred.
• Suitable to act as a Qualified Supervisor (QS) or willing to work towards this responsibility.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of works.
• Full UK driving licence.
