The Senior Engineering & Maintenance Manager is responsible for prioritizing, directing and developing the work of the plant Maintenance and Engineering team in accordance with lean manufacturing principles. This role works additionally to develop on-going safety and efficiency improvements within the operation with deep involvement in cross-functional or departmental engineering initiatives. This role ensures all projects, initiatives, and processes are following the organization's values, policies, procedures and standards.

Key Responsibility:

  • Lead, manage and mentor engineering and maintenance teams
  • Prioritize safety above all else, and leads efforts to improve both safe work conditions and safe work behaviors
  • Identify, prioritize and drive OEE improvement projects and labor optimization projects
  • Execute strong AM/PM processes within a CMMS
  • Create and implement a critical spare part control system
  • Maintains a safe and clean facility through the Facilities Maintenance team
  • Scopes and develops CapEx budgets and financial investment justification for capital projects using margin, head count reduction, OEE increase and line speed increase
  • Works with team to develop and execute equipment and process solutions to support customer product development or product improvement requests
  • Works to ensure Process Safety Management, Fire Code and Building code compliance and ensures team compliance with all applicable environmental, health, safety, and industrial regulations
  • Actively participate and support continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen Problem Solving and Rapid Improvement events

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, Master degree is a plus
  • 7+ years of experience in plant maintenance / engineering leadership role with proven leadership, ability to influence, & motivate others to excel
  • Experience leading and driving change and utilizing lean tools
  • Able to travel (US / Canada)
  • Experience with developing, implementing and assessing a TPM program
  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

Compensation:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $140,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
