Senior Engineers – Node

• Role: Senior and Principal Node Engineers

• Location: Karachi (Onsite initially, hybrid after 2-3 months)

• Positions: Multiple

• Experience Range: 7+ years

• 7+ years of backend development experience with a proven track record of delivering scalable, production-grade systems

• Expert in Node.js, with at least one large-scale project shipped using the NestJS framework in a lead or principal capacity

• Architect and own the design and implementation of RESTful APIs and backend services, ensuring robustness, maintainability, and performance

• Deep hands-on experience integrating relational databases such as MySQL, including schema design, optimization, and ORM usage (preferably Prisma)

• Lead technical reviews, enforce best practices, and set coding and architectural standards for the backend team

• Proactive in observability — leveraging tools like Sentry, Datadog, or New Relic to monitor application health, identify performance bottlenecks, and guide resolution efforts

• Comfortable with AI-driven development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar IDEs to enhance productivity and code quality

• Strong communicator capable of collaborating cross-functionally with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to align technical direction with business goals

• Mentor and coach backend developers to elevate team capabilities and technical maturity

• Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, PlayWright, Cypress) and enforcing test-driven or behavior-driven development practices

• Exposure to modern deployment practices (CI/CD pipelines, containerization, AWS/GCP/Azure environments).

• Experience designing event-driven or microservices architectures is a plus.
