Senior Estimation Engineer

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimation Engineer to join our contracting and construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing tenders, and supporting project bidding activities. The role requires strong technical knowledge, commercial awareness, and extensive experience in construction and contracting projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction and contracting projects.
• Analyze tender documents, drawings, specifications, and BOQs.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and pricing for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project teams during the estimation process.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations and recommend the most cost-effective options.
• Identify risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost-saving alternatives.
• Prepare tender submissions, clarifications, and post-tender documentation.
• Monitor market rates and maintain updated cost databases.
• Support management in bid strategy and commercial decision-making.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Minimum 8–12 years of experience in estimation within the contracting and construction industry.
• Strong experience in preparing estimates for civil, infrastructure, and/or building projects.
• Proven experience in tendering for large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and market rates.
• Proficiency in estimation software and tools (e.g., PlanSwift, CostX, Excel, Primavera – as applicable).
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight tender deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in GCC construction projects (preferred).
• Knowledge of FIDIC contracts and commercial terms.
• Strong coordination and leadership abilities.
