Job Overview
The Head of Category/SEO role involves ensuring regulatory compliance, managing risks effectively, and fostering operational excellence in alignment with the entity's strategic goals and regulatory framework. SCA certification is desirable, yet can be obtained during the appointment process.
The Head of Category / SEO primary responsibility is to implement the Board's approved objectives and strategies of the Firm to achieve profitability and growth and provide overall leadership and direction to employees.
Main Responsibilities
- Creating, communicating, and implementing the firm's vision, mission, and overall direction.
- Leading the development and implementation of the overall firm strategy.
- Responsible for the day-to-day management, supervision, and control of the firm and for apportioning significant responsibilities between the members of its Board of Directors and senior management.
- Ensure the firm is fully complying with all rules and procedures governing the terms of its License under SCA.
- Formulating and implementing the strategic plan that guides the direction of the Firm and overseeing the complete operation of the Firm in accordance with the direction established in the business plan.
- Evaluating the success of the Firm.
- Maintaining awareness of both the external and internal competitive landscape, opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, new industry developments and standards.
- Responsible for deal origination, client acceptance and engagement, including managing the execution process.
- Overall all operational decisions including investment and staff selection and retention.
Qualifications and experience
- University certificate along with experience for not less than (5) years in financial markets or in the relevant fields.
Alternative qualification
- Diploma certificate or less certificate along with experience for not less than (15) years in financial markets and / or in the relevant fields.
Additional qualification and experience
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in financial markets or related fields and having any of the below:
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA)
- Accredited Financial Analyst
- Certified Investment Professional
- Certified Treasury Professional
- Chartered Financial Analyst
- Master Financial Controller
- Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)
- Development Finance Analyst Certified Interior Auditor (CIA) Chartered
