Role Purpose:
To support the Assistant Manager – Purchase in executing procurement activities for the MRO facility, ensuring timely sourcing, cost-effective purchasing, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The role involves vendor coordination, RFQ management, PO processing, and follow-up for on-time delivery of materials and services.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in executing the purchase process as per the procurement plan.

Float inquiries, prepare comparative statements, and support negotiation with vendors.

Coordinate with suppliers for timely submission of quotations and clarifications.

Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) in ERP/SAP system.

Follow up with vendors for timely delivery and documentation.

Maintain updated records of suppliers, quotations, and contracts.

Assist in vendor evaluation and performance tracking.

Support in maintaining compliance with quality, statutory, and company procurement guidelines.

Coordinate with internal departments (Stores, Engineering, Finance, Quality) for smooth procurement cycle.

Highlight delays, risks, or deviations to the Assistant Manager for corrective actions.
Key Skills & Competencies:

Good knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.

Basic understanding of aviation/aerospace MRO material procurement will be preferred.

Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/SAP systems.

Ability to work under timelines and manage multiple priorities.
Qualifications & Experience:

Graduate in Commerce/Science/Engineering.

MBA/PG Diploma in Materials Management/Supply Chain preferred.

3–5 years of relevant experience in procurement (aviation/aerospace/MRO industry preferred).
