Senior - Extenal Audit

We are seeking a Senior Auditor to join our team in Dubai.

The Senior Auditor will be responsible for planning and executing audits of financial statements and other critical business processes, identifying risks and control weaknesses, and providing recommendations to improve internal controls and operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in auditing, outstanding analytical and communication abilities, and be capable of working both autonomously and collaboratively with a team.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute the financial statement and operational audits, including risk assessments, scoping, and testing procedures.
• Identify and evaluate key risks and control weaknesses and develop recommendations to improve internal controls and operational efficiency.
• Conduct interviews with key stakeholders to obtain an understanding of processes and controls.
• Prepare clear, concise, and accurate audit reports and other documentation.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including external auditors and regulatory agencies.
• Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting and auditing standards and regulations.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of external audit experience of which at least 3 years should be post qualification experience
• Strong understanding of auditing principles and practices
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of internal controls and risk management frameworks
• Experience with auditing software and systems, such as Caseware

The ideal candidate must be in the UAE and should be able to join within one month.

Preference will be given to candidates that have local audit firm experience in the UAE, are currently working in an audit firm or have continuous audit firm experience over the last 4 years.

In-depth knowledge of IFRS and ISAs is a must for this role!!
