Job Purpose
The Senior Finance Executive – F&B is responsible for managing day-to-day finance operations, controlling food and beverage costs, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting profitability across outlets or production units. The role plays a critical part in cost control, inventory management, and operational decision-making in a fast-paced F&B environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Operations & Reporting
- Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports for outlets/units
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing
- Maintain accurate general ledger, reconciliations, and journal entries
- Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and petty cash controls
Cost Control & Inventory Management
- Monitor food cost, beverage cost, and gross profit margins
- Conduct variance analysis on recipe costing, yield, and wastage
- Review purchase prices, supplier invoices, and inventory movements
- Coordinate and oversee physical stock counts at outlets and warehouses
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in preparing outlet-wise and consolidated budgets
- Track actual vs. budgeted performance and highlight deviations
- Support pricing decisions and menu engineering analysis
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and F&B-specific regulations
- Coordinate internal audits, stock audits, and external audits
- Maintain documentation for VAT, excise (if applicable), and statutory filings
Revenue & Sales Controls
- Monitor daily sales reports, POS data, discounts, voids, and promotions
- Ensure integration and accuracy between POS, inventory systems, and ERP
- Investigate revenue leakages and implement corrective controls
Process Improvement & Systems
- Support ERP / POS implementation and finance system enhancements
- Improve finance processes to reduce waste, improve margins, and increase efficiency
- Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for finance and cost control
Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with operations, procurement, and kitchen teams to align financial controls
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, suppliers, and tax consultants
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Professional qualification (CA / ACCA / CPA / CMA) preferred
- 5–8 years of finance experience, with minimum 3 years in F&B or hospitality
- Hands-on experience with POS systems, inventory tools, and ERP platforms
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of F&B cost structures, recipe costing, and yield analysis
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with POS & inventory software
- High attention to detail with strong analytical capability
- Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-outlet environments
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
