Position Objective
The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Planning and Finance Manager. This position will support and sales and operations departments in order to support profitable growth of our key customers and channels.
Key Results Area:
Sales and Marketing
- Develop procedures, evaluate resource requirements, and help with the implementation of pricing tools and capabilities.
- Manage the various price lists. Add new items, publish updates to price lists.
- Work with Sales on the price architecture, relationship between channels and customers.
- Create weekly and monthly sales reporting for forecast and budgeting process.
- Accountable to establish and track Promotions, Allowances and Marketing programs.
- Develop and monitor customer and sku/product profitability highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance to achieve financial targets, including the implementation of process and tools to track and manage cost changes, commodity fluctuations at this level.
- Support sales team with establishing pricing models on request for new business.
COGS
- Conduct ongoing cost analysis to determine which key components contribute to manufacturing costs, such as direct materials, labor, and overhead expenses.
- Create and maintain the bill of materials. Establish controls to ensure accuracy and security of master data.
- Create daily production reporting to analyze and support operational metrics.
- Implement measures to control costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Analyzing the differences between actual and expected costs and identifying the factors contributing to the variances, to continually improve the accuracy of cost and carrying value of inventory.
- Identify areas for process improvement within the manufacturing operations to enhance cost efficiency and productivity, by implementing and writing SOPs.
- Work with Purchasing to monitor raw material/commodities vs plan.
General:
- Assist and perform research and analysis in special projects on an ad-hoc basis as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
- Strong understanding of pricing, promotions, manufacturing processes and cost drivers within a customer or channel P&L
- Mid-level proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting techniques.
- High level of interpersonal, written, verbal communication skills.
- Strong work ethic and skills to be proactive to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to work cross functionally and be a team player to achieve desired results.
- Proficient to independently work in a fast-paced, fluid, and dynamic work environment.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professional skepticism. Attention to details is a must.
- Mid-level experience with ERP/MRP systems (purchasing/planning/ costing/ pricing functions), preferably SYSPRO, with an understanding of how to best apply the tools for sound decision-making.
Must be willing to report in-office at the Sacramento Headquarters, M-F
