Position Summary:
Hornblower is seeking a Senior F&A for Ferries & Concessions to partner
directly with Blaine Mitten, the Divisional CFO and President of the division. This is a high-visibility role at the center of financial strategy and business partnering. This is a data-driven, execution-heavy role focused on analytics, reporting, and decision support - ideal for an intellectually curious, detail orientated, and driven finance leader who thrives in fast-paced, change-oriented
environments. The F&A function is undergoing modernization, and the incoming Senior F&A will be instrumental in embedding financial rigor, improving business partnering, and creating scalable, data-driven processes to support decision-making and growth.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Serve as a trusted advisor to the Group CFO, Divisional CFO, President of the division, contributing to strategic and financial decisions.

Analytical horsepower: Deep comfort with large data sets, building models, and extracting insights quickly.

Execution focus: Highly detail-oriented and capable of driving outputs independently.

Drive forward-looking analysis, forecasting, and performance management to support growth and value creation.

Present confidently and persuasively to senior executives, investors, and the board.

Instill financial rigor, operational discipline, and accountability across the

organization.

Partner cross-functionally with operations, commercial, and accounting leaders to enhance reporting, planning, and analytics.

Establish rapid reporting cycles and drive improvements in monthly/quarterly close to-report timelines.

Support on the development of KPI dashboards, variance analyses, and scenario modeling to support strategic initiatives.

Serve as a catalyst for speed and insight, transforming the FP&A function from reactive to proactive business partnering.
Requirements & Qualifications:

Years of progressive FP&A or strategic finance experience, ideally within private equity-backed or fast-moving private company environments.

Background in investment banking, consulting, or professional services(e.g.,

Goldman Sachs, McKinsey, Big 4) preferred.

Deep experience with financial modeling, reporting, and KPI management.

Exceptionally hands-on and analytical with a strong focus on execution.

High EQ, leadership presence, and intellectual curiosity.

Hands-on familiarity with modern finance systems (Power BI, Tableau, Planful & Great Plains a plus).

Must be based in New York OR willing to relocate (non-negotiable; relocation supported)
