Job Description
We are seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to support financial planning, business performance analysis, and strategic decision-making. This role will leverage financial and operational data to identify trends, generate actionable insights, develop financial models, and support key business initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, experience in financial analytics and modeling, and the ability to manage projects across multiple stakeholders.
Expectations
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable business recommendations.
- Develop, maintain, and improve financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, capital investments, and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial analyses, reports, dashboards, and presentations for management.
- Partner with business leaders to understand performance drivers and recommend improvement opportunities.
- Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights into business performance.
- Assist in evaluating business cases, investment opportunities, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Apply accounting knowledge to interpret financial results and ensure consistency with financial reporting standards.
- Lead or participate in cross-functional projects, ensuring milestones, timelines, and deliverables are met.
- Improve reporting processes, data quality, and analytical tools to enhance decision-making.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis, financial planning and analysis (FP&A), corporate finance, accounting, or related analytical roles.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement).
- Experience performing financial analytics, variance analysis, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated project management experience, including managing timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, CPA, CFA, or related professional certification.
- Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience working with ERP systems and large datasets.
- Knowledge of SQL or other data analysis tools.
- Experience supporting operational, manufacturing, energy, healthcare, or industrial organizations.
