We are looking to fill a Senior Financial Analyst / Controller to lead our Accounting & Finance team. The current team consists of a Revenue Accountant Intern and a Senior Accountant. We are looking for a highly motivated team player with excellent technical accounting experience.
Your Responsibilities:
Report to the CFO
Responsible for complex tasks in various financial functions such as budgeting, internal auditing, forecasting, and analysis.
Prepare monthly forecasts, risk assessments, and variance analyses for the CFO, CEO, and other stakeholders.
Develop and maintain business and financial models for financial planning purposes.
Assist with annual budget and periodic forecasts.
Assist with data gathering to support the preparation and analysis of invoices.
Assist the CFO in managing the entire accounting function and all day-to-day accounting activities with support from and the experience of a Senior Accountant.
Work closely on process improvements, systems implementation, and automation.
Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close activities and deliverables, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Manage the Revenue Recognition process, including involvement in contract formation discussions
Lead the audit process and work directly with tax advisors
Revenue analysis and dashboard reporting with periodic variance analysis.
Work closely with cross functional organizations
Assist the CFO with managing commissions and Board presentations
Assist with managing stock compensation and Cap Table
Assume responsibility for financial software and provide input on options for improved systems
Oversee payroll
Other ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
10+ years of accounting and finance experience
Managed and mentored a small accounting team in a fast growing start-up environment
SaaS Experience
CPA or MBA preferred
Proficient with Quickbooks, Microsoft Office and highly skilled with Excel and Google Sheets
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
Ability to collaborate and work well with a cross-functional team
Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
