Senior Financial Analyst / Controller

We are looking to fill a Senior Financial Analyst / Controller to lead our Accounting & Finance team. The current team consists of a Revenue Accountant Intern and a Senior Accountant. We are looking for a highly motivated team player with excellent technical accounting experience.

Your Responsibilities:

 Report to the CFO

 Responsible for complex tasks in various financial functions such as budgeting, internal auditing, forecasting, and analysis.

 Prepare monthly forecasts, risk assessments, and variance analyses for the CFO, CEO, and other stakeholders.

 Develop and maintain business and financial models for financial planning purposes.

 Assist with annual budget and periodic forecasts.

 Assist with data gathering to support the preparation and analysis of invoices.

 Assist the CFO in managing the entire accounting function and all day-to-day accounting activities with support from and the experience of a Senior Accountant.

 Work closely on process improvements, systems implementation, and automation.

 Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end accounting close activities and deliverables, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.

 Manage the Revenue Recognition process, including involvement in contract formation discussions

 Lead the audit process and work directly with tax advisors

 Revenue analysis and dashboard reporting with periodic variance analysis.

 Work closely with cross functional organizations

 Assist the CFO with managing commissions and Board presentations

 Assist with managing stock compensation and Cap Table

 Assume responsibility for financial software and provide input on options for improved systems

 Oversee payroll

 Other ad-hoc projects and analysis as needed

Qualifications:

 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

 10+ years of accounting and finance experience

 Managed and mentored a small accounting team in a fast growing start-up environment

 SaaS Experience

 CPA or MBA preferred

 Proficient with Quickbooks, Microsoft Office and highly skilled with Excel and Google Sheets

 Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills

 Ability to collaborate and work well with a cross-functional team

 Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
