SENIOR FINANCIAL PLANNING ANALYST
Position Summary
For over 40 years, North Hill, a not-for-profit senior living community located in Needham, Massachusetts, has provided vibrant living opportunities to people 65+ by offering a host of hospitality, wellness and health care services. The Senior Financial Planning Analyst is primarily focused on the monthly production and analysis of financial information. This role is also responsible for identifying trends across reporting periods and presenting findings to senior management. In addition, the position serves as a key contributor to the annual budgeting process and other forecasting activities as needed.
Job Specific Duties

  • Leads the development of the annual budget process, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning
  • Manages CapEx spend, reporting and analysis on an ongoing basis
  • Manages Fixed Assets in general ledger system including depreciation entries
  • Performs Budget to Actual variance analysis monthly as part of the close process
  • Produces monthly and quarterly financial statements for various stakeholder groups
  • Analyzes ongoing financial trends, risks, and opportunities and works with department managers to identify solutions
  • Provides education and training to department managers to help better assist in managing their budgets throughout the year
  • Manages the planning and analytics database to ensure accurate reporting
  • Identifies opportunities for improvement and supports implementation and optimization of financial systems
  • Partners with leadership across the organization to support data-driven decision making
  • Participates in other special projects as assigned
  • Meets department uniform, appearance and grooming requirements
  • Complies with all OSHA safety regulations, local applicable laws regarding health, safety or environment

  • When working in Resident areas, must be able to communicate effectively in English
  • Attends and participates in in-service educational classes, Healthcare Academy and staff meetings as directed
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience is required
  • Strong knowledge of the full accounting cycle
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient with budget and forecasting tools
  • Proficient with computer software programs
Satisfactory completion of a background investigation is required for this position.

Pay Range: $90,000-$95,000/yearly
Individual compensation within this range is based on a candidate’s specific qualifications, including education, overall experience, relevant experience, and specific skills. We strive to ensure that compensation is competitive, fair, and reflects the value each candidate brings to the role.
