Overview

The Senior Financial Reporting Accountant is responsible for preparing and analyzing reporting packages and financial statements in accordance with IFRS and internal reporting standards. This role ensures the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting and supports external audits, regulatory filings, and internal management reporting.

Responsibilities

·        Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting packages and annual reporting packages and financial statements in compliance with IFRS

·        Lead the preparation of consolidated financial reports across multiple entities

·        Ensure timely and accurate submission of financial data to internal and external stakeholders

·        Assist in the implementation and maintenance of financial reporting systems and controls

·        Support external audit processes, including coordination with auditors and preparation of audit schedules

·        Analyze financial data and provide insights to management for decision-making

·        Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements

·        Review and validate journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial disclosures

·        Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting

·        Participate in special projects such as system upgrades, process improvements, and financial modeling

Qualifications

·        Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field

·        Minimum of three (3) years of experience in financial reporting or accounting with extensive experience in consolidation

·        Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.

·        Big four (4) auditing experience is an advantage with extensive experience on group audits

·        Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.

·        Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

·        Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

·        Professional certification such as ACCA, SOCPA, CPA, or equivalent is preferred

·        Excellent communication and presentation skills

·        Strong leadership and team management abilities
